The 72 straddle carriers at the Générale de Manutention Portuaire's French Terminal travel more than 100 km per month on an 000-hectare site.

 

Around the quay gantries or the exchange areas, more than 1800 road complexes pass through every day. There are numerous crossings of straddle carts and safety is a priority for drivers.

CAD.42's Unifield solution determines a possible collision alert by calculating the future trajectories of each rider. The alert is sent to the drivers' screen in real time to warn them of the detected risk.
